Bohemian Street Stari Grad
The cobblestones were laid in 1968 to look like 1890 — and two drinks in, you stop caring.
Three hundred metres of uphill street lined with 19th-century kafanas, tamburitza bands moving from table to table, and portrait artists who finish in twenty minutes. In the evening the tables come out onto the street and the whole lane turns into one long dining room.
Why it's worth it
It is the only part of Belgrade where the music still arrives at your table instead of out of a speaker.

Start at the bottom, from Cetinjska, and walk up — the kafanas at the top are the tourist ones, the ones halfway up still keep their old regulars.
