Nikola Tesla Museum
Science Museum Vračar
The urn holding Tesla's ashes is here — a gilded sphere in an upstairs room, twenty metres from the rig they use to run alternating current past the crowd.
The museum keeps over 160,000 original documents and Tesla's personal effects, but the heart of it is the demonstration: the guide fires up a Tesla coil and hands out fluorescent tubes that light in your hand, with no wire attached. The tour runs about 45 minutes, in groups, by language.
Why it's worth it
It is the only museum in the world dedicated to Tesla — and the only address holding both his archive and his ashes.
